WE're starting to go thru this too. My 13 year old never argued about meds until recently. At first, I think he realized that he could play sports again because of the meds. Now I think he has forgotten a bit how much worse he was before the meds, and he is resisting taking his enbrel shots. The daughter of a friend of ours has cystic fybrosis and is now 20. She has really resisted taking her meds the last year or two. Finally she ended up in the hospital for two weeks with a severe case of pneumonia. She was convinced she would die. Now she takes her meds religiously. Maybe that's what it takes- for them to see what will happen if they do stop. I really monitor the meds but realize that will become more difficult as he gets older.

I am going to start a thread on the main board. He was given the okay to go off his MTX, and it is 3 weeks and he's said he's going back on Sunday. The peds rhmy was not all that surprised. He's boarderline. Can mostly manange on Nsaids, but the ped rhumy doesn't like them.
