Hi All
As I said on other threads, with all thats going on with me, I have been spending less time on the pc and because of that have gone back to reading more. I have stumbled accross a very good book series that I am thoroughly enjoying.
I am a fan in particular of one authors work; Raymond E Feist. His writing has been compared on some levels to being like Tolkien. Well I have found another author I rate as highly as Feist. If you are a fan of fantasy as a genre then maybe you would like a series of books by author Terry Goodkind called the Sword of Truth series. I am now on book 5 and I believe there are at least another 4 or 5 books to go.
The first in the series is called Wizards First Rule and is excellent. They are on the large side though often being 600 pages or more so they are good value for money too.
Anyone else want to share their favourite books or authors or even any books they are currently reading?
All time favorite author, John Saul. Sort of a cross between science fiction and horror. I like the way he writes, very easy to get into his books and hard to put down. I did have every book he ever wrote, but I loaned some out and then forgot who I loaned them to. The way my memory is going I could probably read them over again and not even realize I read them. We should start a book exchange or something.

OK, dont get mad at me, BUT, I am completely in love with the TWILIGHT SAGA. It literally is the best set of books I have ever read. If you have not read them, they are written by Stephanie Meyer, and they suck you in. I read the first one, about 800 pages long, within 3 days of starting it..then I finished the rest of the series with in a week. It makes you wake up and puts a skip in your step. Literally. So if you need something to pass the time, please read them. You wont regret it. Happy reading!

I started working in the library at my school system again this year. I had been relocated due to budget cuts five years ago and am thrilled to be back to my first love as librarian/paraprofessional.
I've started reading a book that our high school English teacher uses. Its called "The Uglies" (book is at school, so I'm not sure who the author is). Its the first in a trilogy. The second book is "The Pretties & the third one is The Specials". It's about a futuristic society whose values are all screwed up. Very good reading!

Kelly, My daughter liked the “Vampire Academy,” series by Richelle Mead much better than the "Twilight" series. You might want to try reading them. She says these books make "Twilight" look stupid. (thats just her opinoin). I have not read any of them. I have read somewhere that they might make a movie out of it too.
