hello
you all have a great attitute! Keep your chins up and think possitive.
i have adopted a similiar approach trying to count my blessings. I think it can always be worse. I have even jotted down some of the good changes that have come out of slowing down. for example...i always have a hard time saying no when someone needs that "extra volunteer, or help a school event, or even family get togethers". but since I can't do as much as I used to, I do say "sorry I can't help with that." It gets easier. That way I can help out where I want and enjoy it.
we do have alot to be thankful for! thanks to all on this site!
blessings! :-)

Joyce I make it a habbit of that too. It is definitely good for the soul. May I suggest what my closest friend, my preacher's wife said to me when I was a teen. She told me to write a list of the bad things, then write another list of all the good things seperately: then throw away the list of the bad and keep the good list to remind you that day of all the good. It is a great reminder that even though we are in pain and suffering that there are still many things to rejoice about. Love you girl-

Good for you, Joyce. I think it does make all the difference. I realized I was always frowning or scowling so I decided that no matter what, I would put a smile on my face whenever I caught myself. Not a giant, idiot grin, but just a little Mona Lisa smile. It helps a lot and seems to relax my face, too.

I am thankful to all of you reading this post, feeling what I feel every day and UNDERSTANDING it. So often it is hard for the people in our lives to really understand what we all go thru, even though they try their best and do what they can. It hasn't been long since I was diagnosed, but finding this website, reading everyone's posts and knowing I am not alone...brings me some stress relief and brings me to tears. I am not alone...you are not alone. Thanks to all of you for the support and encouragement you provide thru sharing your stories!
Love to you all... Stand Tall...
Jessica
