Very good points. I can be a control freak sometimes! Like I said, I do like and trust her. I just sometimes wonder how a person can understand just how careful we need them to be with our babies, when they've never had to entrust their own babies to someone. But Lord knows she's brilliant, truly. And Mercy adores her. Our kids are usually smarter than we are about these things. smile

You may have a point ... kids rely a lot on intuition (they also have an implicit trust in our ability & desire to take care of them!) I have noticed my kids don't fret about stuff nearly as much as I do. I'm not even that much of a worrier, LOL!!

Jen, 42, happy partner of James and Moma to Evan, 14, & Lucy, 12.5 (Crohn's dx @ age 3; on Remicade since April 2010.) I take piroxicam, Flexeril, & Nucynta ER nightly. 3 anti-TNFs didn't pan out for me.

My son also plays intense, year-round soccer. He also trains with weights and runs at least 5 miles on off-days. One thing we have noticed is that when he is having flares, it usually hits on both sides of the body. In other words, it is usually both knees, or both hips that flare. The fact that your son got bumped and then started hurting a few days later would at least raise the possibility that it could be an injury. Keep us posted as to his progress!
