Saw my Rhuem today. Wish all of you out there struggling to find a great Dr could use her (VA only).....She lets me be very involved with my care. I get assigned to be seen by all of the residents and students from the medical school too (ups and downs).

So, we, as in her and I, have decided to take one dose of Enbrel every 10-14 days as well as taking the Otezla twice daily. I'm a bit of an experiment at this moment. The TNF alone wasn't working like it did years ago. But worked somewhat. Otezla alone isn't working to it's full possibilities. So for the next 90 days we are going to give this a try. I'm willing to take the risk as at age 56 I feel as if I have nothing to loose by doing so. I've said it many times. I'd rather die young have have a life than be miserable and older. I'll keep you all posed

Thanks Cindy! I'm hopeful!

I'll be back in the cities on Friday and again on Tuesday to see Ortho about my hips. My Rhuem says that they look like they are near or at end stage. Not sure what Ortho will think.

On of these days we should meet up in the cites for lunch.

I'm optimistic Ginny. Will know if it will help in a few weeks. Hips feel like they are going to explode (Ortho appointment next week). But the body flue like aches haven't bee too bad.

Slept last night! Yes, I woke up a few times to change position but went right back to sleep. Can't complain about that now can I!

Yesterday evening (day 8) lower back and hip pain returned. Shot this morning. Restarting the count today. Goal is 10-14 day between shots. Maybe when the weather changes and is steady for longer than 3 days? Or get warmer. I know from past experience that the cold does have an affect on me.

Over three months since I started the Enbrel/Otezla schedule. It's working pretty good. My psoriasis is better than it has been in years. AS wise is ok too. I know that I will never have a pain free life so it's all relative pain wide. I can live with this amount real easy.

Wonder if my Rhuem has figured out a new treatment plan that will work for others. I see her in two weeks. Would not be surprised to hear her say that she is going to do a paper on it.
