if you like the pressure of a knuckle in the joint, then I bet you would appreciate a 'yogaball'. it a firm rubber ball. it's good to self massage areas. Aslo a foam roller is a good gadget to have around. kindest,

I let my wife and kids stand all over my back and wherever I'm sore and it always works.

Google the following: Piriformis muscle. Learn the stretches and where it is. Its a small muscle doing a lot of work and tends to cause a ton of issues. It can actually cause sciatica when it spasms and compromises the space that the nerve runs through.


diagnosed at 32.
HLA B27 Positive
Currently on Simponi, Tramadol, and celebrex

I read this and had to reply. My husbands uncle also has AS and he does exactly that...punches himself in the butt to relieve pain. Just thought I would let you know you aren’t alone he does the exact same thing smile
