Came home yesterday and almost as soon as I walked into the door My 28 year old son handed me a dose of Enbrel and a Celebrex! So with allot of hope I should be able to sleep ok by the end of next week.

I am completely exhausted. No AS meds for this long has left me with the run over by a truck feeling. Hip wise if progressing good though. I still have to wear this brace for another 6 weeks but I'm very hopeful that the walker will go before that and I'll be back to a cane soon. Lifetime medical issues sure to change one's perspective. I'm looking for ward to getting to use a cane! grin

Glad you are home now Ken. And you can start the Enbrel and Celebrex, hope they kick in fast.
Always think things could be worse. That always helps me make it thru a day, when I just want to roll up in a ball, and cry!
Like today!!!
My lower back is causing problems with my hip, leg and feet!!
Will see about injections on Tuesday, and go from there.
Don't mean to whine...!
Just take one day at a time, and each day will get better and better. We can cheer each other on...! lol

I'm glad your hip recovery is progressing, and REALLY glad you are able to restart your meds. Take care of yourself and let us know when you graduate to the cane!

I had hoped to have moved on from the walker back to a cane by now. Not progressing as quickly as I think I should. I could be wrong but I believe the brace that I am required to wear 24/7 has something to do with it. The brace I am wearing looks similar to the one in the link.

You just can't do anything the easy way, can you Ken? smile

Do you know why you have to wear the brace? Is it because of the revision when the first one was unstable?

How are your pain levels?

Continuing prayers for you.

Because of the first one failing. They want to be extra certain that this one does not.

Pain wise from the replacement I am fine. AS wise my back is killing me at night but it is getting better now that I am back on Enbrel and Celebrex.

Still making progress. I don't have full function of the leg yet. Certain movements still require me to assist the left leg in someway. I still have to use a walker for any walking that is more than a few minutes.
