Hello all!

Its been several years since I've seen a rheumatologist for AS. The one I was seeing Dr Anne Bass at HSS doesn't take my insurance. Everyone her office recommended either is not accepting new patients, doesn't take insurance or has no appointments for months. Also in general HSS has always been a major hassle.

Would be so grateful for suggestions of good Rheumatologists in New York City. Thank you so much.

Jesse

I love HSS, they found treatments for me that when other doctors said there was nothing else. All over the country it can be months wait to see a doctor. HSS doesn't take your insurance at all? Yes, they are way on the East side but the 2nd Ave subway can make the walk shorter.

I've heard the NYU Joint disease is good. But I only know HSS. I live upstate now, but still go there because of the low knowledge level for many doctors.

Good luck

Actema IV once a month (with pre loading for allergic reaction), Cymbalta x1 daily, Arava 20mg daily. Diagnosed with AS in 2004, suffered undiagnosed since 1982.

Fair enough, maybe I should re-adjust my expectations. Which doctor did you see there?

Thanks!
