Hello, everyone. My wife started Humira 5 weeks ago (on her third injection) and her side effects have, to some degree, lessened with the exception of fatigue and headaches. Her fatigue has been worse since starting the Humira although other effects (stomach, eye and ear pain) have lessened. Headache is a new symptom and seems to be a daily issue. Does anyone have experience with the fatigue and headaches getting better and, if so, when did that happen?
Any information or advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

I'm sorry your wife is having to deal with side effects. frown

Is she taking methotrexate or any other drug in addition to the Humira?

She should probably talk to her doctor about the headaches. Since it is a new symptom, it's possible that it's not related to the Humira. But if it is, her doctor needs to know about it.

Can you elaborate more on the ear pain? Is it bilateral? Does she have tinnitus and/or hyperacusis?

I had headaches in the beginning which left after a month or two. (long time ago).

My issues were with my sinus's and it sounds like that might be the same for her. I use to eat spicy Thai food the evening I injected Humira, and that cured it. The sinus's often react to other immune issues, so maybe taking a allergy pill that day might help.

Thanks for your response - sorry it took so long for me to reply. My wife takes diclofenac and 4 to 6 tylenol each day - as well as cymbalta. In the past week her headaches have improved slightly so I think we will keep going and see what happens! Thanks again. Good luck on your journey.

Is your wife, talking to the Humira nurse? When I was on it, I talked to her every 2 wks., she really helped me with any questions that I had. Its good to keep in touch, just in case of the side effects.
Hope this helps.
