Does anyone remember where I got the 60% average rating for enbrel being used as a psoriasis treatment?

Jay,

This is the VASRD Criteria for a 60% rating for psoriasis.

Mike

7816 Psoriasis:

More than 40 percent of the entire body or more than 40 percent of exposed areas affected, or; constant or near-constant systemic therapy such as corticosteroids or other immunosuppressive drugs required during the past 12-month period.

Ken, that's the one. Thanks.

Mike, my psoriasis isn't that bad so long as I'm current on my injections. Of course, much would be helped if the PA doing my exams wasn't senile.

Thanks

Jay,

This is an "or" provision. It does not have to cover 40% of exposed areas per se. You just have to be using a immunosuppressive drug to treat it to qulaify for the rating.

Your skin could clear as a bell, but if it is that way becuase a drug like Enbrel is used to treat it, then 60%.

That was my understanding, Mike. However, the VFW service officer that's supposed to be working for me and the VA rater disagree. I e-mailed him the info from both these threads, including the VASRD info for 7816 that you posted.

I have not yet recieved an answer.
