Hello All,

Has anyone attempted to use Hemp aka CBD oil to treat A.S. Symptoms? Successes/Failures?

I have not But I want to. My current pain management doc won't treat me if I use marijuana. It is the policy of the Sutter group. But now that my medication is being reduced due to the "opioid epidemic" I'm thinking of quiting pain management and going to the oil if it works. Pain management is no longer working!

Ok. So I have been flairing pretty badly and I figure my biologic may be on the way out. I was at the doctor looking for something to deal with the pain and while I had the option of pills, he recommended CBD Oil and said it's been good for some of his patients and that it would probably be better with less side effects.

I ended up with a prescription and used it for the first time this morning. My mind is absolutely blown. I have used it in a vaporizer, but on a day like this where I am one day away from my biologic injection, it's rainy and usually I am on two Tylenol arthritis and a 500mg Naproxen. I have had some cbd oil from a licensed producer and I am virtually pain free and have been sitting here getting work done all day. Usually I am sitting up, laying down, standing up, stretching, complaining, etc. Right now I am doing good.

I recommend trying the oil if you can get it.

Can you let me know where you purchased this hemp oil? My husband was diagnosed with AS 40+ yrs ago. He’s been thru every pill know when younger..then about 5 or more yrs ago, they no longer worked. So he was moved to biologics...Humira which worked great for a several yrs..1x a month then had to be upped to 2x a month. Then stopped working. For the last 2 yrs he was prescribed Simponi, Cimzia and then going back to weekly Humira shots...sadly...no relief. We just went to his rheumatologist on 6/21 & his last 2 options (per the Dr) are to try Stelara or Remicade infusions. He recommended Stelara saying it is a diff type of drugs from others my husband has had & he is hoping that will help him. The Dr said he knew nothing about CBD oil so couldn’t recommend it but said he wasn’t adverse to it. Said he had patients trying it..but he was no help. Meanwhile my husband still suffers with pain & can’t sleep. I want him to try CBD oil. What strength do u recommend & where do u purchase yours? I understand you can buy it over the counter now. We live in VA & it just got approved. How often do u take yours? Do u just use a few drops on ur tongue? Thxs so much for sharing.

I'm happy to see that cannabis has helped others with pain/symptom management! I am gonna give it a try. waiting for CBD NORMAL 4% 10 ml (400mg) delivery this week. How to use this stuff?
