Dear Friends, it is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of our dear friend, SAA’s former Executive Director, Laurie Savage.

Laurie passed away on Sunday, December 30th, following a 3 year battle with cancer.

She touched the lives of many within our community throughout the years, including many on this forum, and will be deeply missed. We have posted more about her legacy, work, and life here -
https://www.spondylitis.org/About-SAA/Updates/in-memoriam-laurie-m-savage

As someone who worked with and for her for nearly 10 years, I am heartbroken, and miss her terribly. We’ve been sharing Laurie stories and anecdotes here in the office between smiles and teary eyes.

If you have memories or stories with Laurie, please share them as well.

Rest in peace dear Laurie. And thank you, for too many things to list.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Laurie, but I feel like I know her just a little bit through her editorials in Spondylitis Plus. Thank you Laurie for championing our cause. Godspeed.
