Hello, jrprusak: Many people with inflammatory diseases can get "Meinere's-like" issues that will impair balance. It is important to note when the symptoms increase and decrease, relative to disease activity level, foods, drugs, time of day, and position and posture. I hope this does not become too serious.
Definitely could be related. I suffer from vertigo. I have several "spells" a year now that typically last days, which is a mild spell, or weeks, which is a severe spell. I've not been officially diagnosed with Merniere's, but everyone (rheumatologist, neurologist, physical therapist who treats my severe spells) seems to agree it's related to my inflammatory disease somehow. Sometimes antihistamines help. I've pretty much resigned myself to taking allergy meds daily forever.
