I think you should post this question in the main forum. So many more people will see it and be able to answer for you. Have a good day! smile

Mariko Ishimori & Michael Weisman at Cedars Sinai are good.

UCLA doctors never diagnosed AS for 4 years so I don't recommend any.

I never recommend David Hallegua to anyone at SAA. He violates HIPPA & patient rights and don't apologize at all. I made complaints against him to CA medical Board because of his outrageous behaviors & numerous patient right violations.

Wow!..The same David Hallegua that is a Board Member here on the SAA???? Gosh I am shocked.

I have a friend that goes to Dr. Weisman and is always happy with him. He is in the study group they are doing.

I know you posted this a long time ago, but in case anyone else is looking in the area now or in the future...I found that the doctors at UCLA don't tend to stick around for very long. I found a fantastic Rheum in Beverly Hills, not far from UCLA. Her name is Dr. Susan Baker - her # is 310-657-2222. She is amazing and very caring. Can't say enough positive things about her. good luck.

Dr. Bluestone is in the same office - he is wonderful! I have been seeing him for over 3 years now. He won't give up on you & that was very important to me

I know this is an old post, but if anyone out there is looking for a great doc at UCLA, go see Dr. David Yu. He is an AS researcher. He looked at a basic back xray and diagnosed me within 30 seconds (something my loser rheum refused to consider, wanting me to deal with NSAIDs and come in every month for bloodwork using his in-house lab instead) Dr. Yu's staff then set me up for at-home remicade infusions with a nursing service and worked out the insurance issues. He doesn't really do regular visits or long-term care, but if you are looking for a definitive diagnosis, he is your man!
