THANKS

I AM A MOM 36YRS OLD. FROM MISSISSIPPI.
IT TOOK 3 YRS TO GET DIAG, EVERY 3 MONTH I WENT AND THEY TOOK BLOOD AND EACH TIME THE NUMBERS WERE HIGHER AND HIGHER. DONT REALLY KNOW ANYTING ABOUT THIS AND DO NOT HAVE SUPPORTIVE SPOUSE.

Hi MSU01, I am sorry to hear that you do not have a supportive spouse. I hope for you that it will change as you both learn about AS. I know it can seem scary, but you have made a great decision in coming here for support. I cannot even tell you how much this group has meant to me as I learned about AS and how to live with it. We are all here for you just as we are for each other.

Glad you found us. We are a very supportive group. Sometimes spouses just don't want to take the time to support something they don't understand or fear. My husbands understands but is fearful of the future. Will I become an invalid. I have had two drs tell me I would be in a wheelchair because my back is so bad. I am being positive and grateful for each day and living each day with a joyful attitude. God has been too good to me to worry about tomorrow.

AS JACKIE SAID I BELIEVE MY HUSBAND IS JUST SCARED.HE IS A REALLY GOOD MAN, HE ASK ME WHAT CAN HE DO, AND I KNOW THER IS NOTHING BUT I SURE FEEL LIKE IT SHOULD BE.

Just wanted to say welcome!!! Give you and your husband time, it is a lot to absorb. It seems like life will never be the same. In some ways it won't, but you want to remember that just because you finally received a diagnosis, doesn't really change the fact that you have been living with AS for quite awhile now. You will be able to start receiving treatment and in some ways that will help to make your life better.
