Last year my mother asked for bath towels for Christmas. They have had their bath towels since they were first started manufacturing them(lol). She requested small towels, so I got the smallest ones I could find. Well, come to find out she has not used the towels because they are too much for her to handle. The towels were JC Penney classics. I looked around and this was the norm for towels.
This year I asked for Christmas ideas and she told me SMALLER towels. HELP!!!!! Can anyone suggest where I might find towels similar to those made in, oh let's say.....1950?!

BTW, mom is doing well. She had a cataract removed from her right eye 2 weeks ago and tomorrow she will have her left eye done. Wonderful, I know!!!!! Her oncologist decided to wait until after the holidays to do another MRI of GBM (brain tumor). She has been doing so well, it's amazing. Our PCP said that he has never seen anyone with this type of diagnosis do as well as mom has done. I am hoping to stay healthy this holiday season so that we can ALL spend the holidays together. Keep the prayers coming....it must be working!

Any help you can give me on the towels would be much appreciated!

Take Care

Normally cheaper versions of towels (walmart or target special) are very thin and lightweight...and may be smaller than those luxury body towel types. I use the cheap, thin, lightweight ones to wrap my hair up. Waaaay to small to dry off with LOL! Just a thought.

Yes, I think the "cheaper" towels will do the trick. They even have some small/thin towels at the dollar store. I think they are supposed to be "beach towels" but are too small. There is usually a reason something is at the dollar store right? But, try wall mart, Kmart, target.

I am glad you mom is doing so well. And I do agree that the smaller towels can be found at discount stores. This is what my mom likes too. Not me, I want BIG, FAT,FLUFFY towels. One luxury I indulge in.

I'll tell you what I use. I use a hand towel because it is easier to handle. the big ones I can't get a good enough grip on them. When I go to the gym that's what I use to dry off with and then I have a shift (dress) that I put over me to walk out of the shower room.

I found some cheap towels at Target on Black Friday. They don't seem as big. They are thin, so I hope they work for her. I hopes are that you have all enjoyed your Thanksgiving and are recovering/relaxing at home this weekend. Thank you for your suggestions on the towels! BTW, my Christmas shopping is nearly complete...YIPPIE!!!!!!!
