I went off my mobic for the MRI just to insure getting the most inflammation.

After lying there for an hour and half early today I'm having some bad pain in that joint. It feels like someone stabbed with a hot poker. It burns! But it feels like it's been stabbed...with a hot poker.

Do you guys ever feel like that?

I know I sound nutso. Argh. Sitting makes it worse. Got to move!

Get back on your Mobic ASAP. Don't make yourself suffer anymore. At least, now you know how well the Mobic has been working.

Suffering since a teenager.Dx with AS Dec 2009. Dx with ulcerative colitis 1998, both knees replaced 2006. GP said I had "some kind of inflammatory arthritis" 25 years ago. It has taken 50 years to get a Dx.

Mobic, Nexium, Naproxin, Lipitor, 6-MP, Nexium, Miacalcam, MSContin and 2 Norco for break through pain

I started it again as soon as I got home. It really does make a difference.

Yup I've had that feeling and you describe it perfectly! Well said! Hope it stops ASAP!

If I sit for more than 30 minutes in one spot, my SI joints feel exactly like that. Sometimes when I'm biking, it starts to feel that way too, and I have to stop, get off the bike and walk around a little before I can continue. I wish my meds would take care of it, but the morphine and diclofenac only lessen the pain, not get rid of it. Glad you're back on the mobic.
