So I justy lost my job and I don't know what to do. This is the second job I've lost during a flare and I loved this job. Before my flare I had missed 2 days of work and then it hit me. Between seeing 6 different doctors, CAT sacans, MRI's, X-rays, and coming in late, leaving early I have missed a lot of time. My boss said he was ok with me coming in when I needed and leaving early because I always stayed latye or worked weekends to get my work done.He saw me aty work this sunday. We got into about 16 dollars worth of tooling I ordered on monday and tuesday I came in and I was fired. I don't know what to do. I can't keep a job even one I love and I don't know who would hire someone who can't make it into work so I'm really losyt right now.

It is a tough spot to be in, no doubt. However you do have some strengths. I recommend taking today, Easter to make a short list of things that you are grateful for in your life. Sounds trite but this has helped me in dire times. Secondly, try if you can to be around people even spending a few short dollars on a special meal or beverage and do a couple things that you do like.
Don't wallow. Small steps.
Monday call your local employment office and ask about daily work and if your skills would fit any needs. Daily work can help you get cash in your pocket.
Apply to several different positions and followup on them.
Another round of simple nice things that you can do for yourself.
Check in with your doctor.
Call a lawyer referral source and explain your situation. they may be able to refer you to a lawyer who specializes in wrongful termination to determine if you have a case or not. No money up front from you is the rule. No money for the evaluation of your case....
Start there. Keep your chin up. Miracles, we know....do happen.

First I am sorry that it turned out this way. We are all hear to support, liten, and offer advice when needed.
What type of work do you do? There may be an option to get a retraining through vocational rehab. They will work with folks who are unable to do the work that they have always done due to disability. I am trying to go back to school so I can move around in my choosen profession and continue to work inspite of my AS.
In the mean time, take stock of things you can do, and check into jobs in those areas. Even if they are part time, it would atleast give you some income. Also check out local restaurants, many chains offer day 1 insurance coverage for their staff, and restaurant work is typically more flexible with scheduling than many other jobs.
Good luck, and don't loose hope.

Seems like good advice given by everyone so far. I agree. Keep working as long as you can. Disability is really not enough to live on, particularly the amount you will get at your age. And you won't be getting any extra benefits like savings plans, etc. which will help you have money for later years. Vocational rehab is a really good thing to check into. They are really interested in keeping people working, from what I have heard.
Let us know how it goes. . .

I really appreciate everyones support and advice, this is honestly the only place I feel I can go where people really understand. My aunts have been supportive but they don't really know what this is like and other than thaty I have no family, none that cares anyway. Thank yall so much. Vocational rehab is something I have heard about but never even consedered and it sounds like a good option, this is why I am here. I was a Prosthetic and Orthotics technician, I fabricated and repaired prosthetic limbs, mostly lower extremity but some upper extremity. I really loved my job and honestrly anything else just wouldn't be the same.
