I'm not sure if it's AS related but I've been experiencing slight tingling on the underside of my scrotum. Recently was told by my urologist that I have chronic prostatitis (I've had testicle/perinium pain for about 4 months) and I think this may be the cause. I'm 31 so quite disappointed by the diagnosis.

I have been having pain in my left groin, testicle, and perineum. I was diagnosed with epididymitis by a urologist, but I am starting to doubt that diagnosis. Antibiotics didn't seem to do much for me. I'm back on Humira, and what do you know, the groin and testicle pain seems to be getting better. It's possible that your pain is caused by AS. Based on your other posts, it seems that your AS is not being controlled, so I'd focus on that. Something like Humira might do the trick for you.

That actually sounds very similar to what I have been going through as well for the last few months. It started as pain in my left testicle and now there is also pain in the perineum but the testicle mostly feels better. I did several rounds of antibiotics a few months ago despite the cultures coming up negative. Now I've been taking 800mg ibuprofen since the last visit to the urologist.

Do you have other symptoms besides the groin/testicle/perineum pain? How long have these symptoms been present?

Other urological symptoms? Yea, sometimes I get a burning sensation when urinating and a burning sensation on the left side of the head of my you know what.

I also seem to get the burning sensation into my left foot at the same time, so I really think this is from AS, NOT urological disease. Sigh. Add it to the long list of AS symptoms.

I get similar symptoms and sometimes a periodic dull throbbing/ache on the right side of my groin sometimes referring to the scrotum area. But it's usually accompanied by pain/aches in the upper to mid leg too so I've always attributed it to my AS. I get random tingling, aches, and other sensations seemingly randomly throughout my body although I have noticed these mostly come out of nowhere in my groin and legs.

I agree with others to rule out other conditions such as a hernia too though.

I sometimes get strange feelings in my shaft. In fact when I was younger, before I got married, I thought I might have had an STD. Came back negative and I recall reading a symptom in AS is soreness in the ureter? Dont quote me on that.

I don't have a tingling but I have, for nearly a year now, had a pain in my lower left abdomen that sometimes radiates down into my testicle. I saw every type of doctor you could see about such a thing (GP, TWO urologists, general surgeon and even a sports medicine doctor) and no one could really tell me what the cause was. I have the option of getting a CT scan but since the pain has VERY SLOWLY been getting better over the months, and not worse, I've held off on exposing my groin 300 x-rays worth of radiation.

Maybe it's an AS thing? I don't really know. The thing about having AS is that you get weird aches and pains all over the place from time to time. And they tell you that if you have an unexplained pain to get it checked out because it COULD be cancer. But I think, for people like us, long-term pains that come and go for month or years at a time are the norm. I had left hip pain for years ... now it's gone. I had pain behind my right knee for years .. now it's gone. But I have new pains that pop up in their place. It sucks but a groin pain or tingle could be AS related. But I'm not a medical professional so I could not say for certain.
