Can you please share with me if you have had success with this? I have failed other meds and this one is the first to give me side effects. I only took one dose and i have migraines, arm pain, stomach upset and just feeling like my body has a weight tied to it. I dont know if its just stress or the meds or what but this is horrible

My doctor recently suggested I research Consentyx to see if I wanted to switch to this med from humeira. Recent postings on this site did not provide promising results from others suffering with AS. Try going to the search button in the upper right corner of this page to research past threads on Consentyx. Predominantly people seemed to think it either didn't work or were bothered by side effects. I will follow this thread to see if there's a glimmer of hope with this med.

Dx: Spondyloarthropathy/Connective Tissue Disorder (2/12), AS (9/12) HLA B27 negative, sacroilitis on x-ray - Current Meds: Methotrexate (20 mg), Leucovorin (30 mg), Protonix, Relafen, Vicodin and Tramadol PRN, Enbrel (9/12) Humira (7/15)

My son with AS was switched to Cosentyx and it has changed his life for the better. Me being on Enbrel is starting to frizzle out, I see the Rhumy next month to discuss a change, but not sure what direction that will go.

Interested in anyone on Cosentrx for AS and how it is working.

I have been on Cosentyx for over a year (about 14 months). It worked well for about 8 months, but after a flare following an unrelated surgery and CDiff, it doesn't seem to be working as well anymore.

I'm not ready to give up on it yet though! It has worked better for me than Enbrel, Humira, Remicade and Simponi.
