Dr. Martha Aguilar in Houston, Texas saved me!! I went to her initially with the thought I may have Lupus. I had enough nonspecific symptoms to warrant her to send off all the Lupus tests but I'll never forget her words, "I think you have enough going on here to send off tests for Lupus, but what I really think you have is something called Ankylosing Spondylitis." I was shocked, relieved, and grateful to have found a Rheumy who believed in me and my symptoms. The tests, xrays, MRI's, etc. all came back diagnostic for AS and we are working TOGETHER to control and reduce the pain. She is a wonderful listener and is committed to helping her patients. Thanks Dr. Aguilar. May God Bless You!! Sharel in Houston

Dr. Janet Schwartzenberg in Amarillo, Texas. Her husband has AS, so she's not only knowledgeable, but she is also very sympathetic.

I travel over 100 miles one way to see her, that's how much I like her!

No I am not a doctor, I only play one on the internet. Seriously, I'm only as reliable as your next door neighbor. My views are not necessarily the views of SAA or its' members.

Hi Jenny.

I live near Amarillo and make a commute as well, but not for Dr. Schwartzenberg, who I've never heard of, but for Dr. Constantine Saadeh.

I can't reccomend a visit to this man enough. He runs Allergy A.R.T.S in Amarillo, and did more for me than any of the high-priced specialists I've ever seen combined. A great man and one to who I'm eternally grateful.

*But before I go, your Dr. Schwarzetcetera might be Dr. Jan, from my doc's office... smile I've never heard her last name, but yeah. I'll agree if so, a wonderful doctor.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind, never even considered for mass production. Too wierd to live... and too rare to die.
-Dr. Thomson
