For the past several months I have experienced a feeling that the bones in my lower legs and particularly my ankles and my hands, are icy cold. My skin feels warm but I feel frozen. One of the doctors I have seen thinks it is hysteria. It is very real. My AS symptoms have at the same time become much worse to the point where doing anything is a chore and I am exhausted all the time. Has anyone else experienced abnormal cold sensations in the extremities and could it be a sign of progression of the AS?

I am just recently diagnosed...so I am no expert. But I will say that I have had the cold hands and feet before. I think it has something to do with the inflammation on the bone...but I am not a doctor so don't quote me. I just say this because I googled the symptom and it came up as a possibly hip disease. I have also had sudden low grade fevers come and go...which I now believe to be the sacriolitis. But mostly I wanted to let you know you aren't crazy. And if you have a symptom then you have it. I also have weird icy sensations on the top of my head...I have only told it to one doc because it sounds so cuckoo but it is real. The first time it happened I was feeling for cold water on top of my head. I suppose I need a neurologist now..add that to the list of specialists..take care
