Hope all of you had a wonderful day. On the 19th my husband Artie and I were blessed with our 8th grandson, Nickolas. He is 5lbs.11oz and absolutely adorable (no I'm not prejudiced).

We spent 4 days taking care of her other 3 boys: 14mo. 4 1/2 and 10. Our daughter had a C-section so she can't lift for 2 weeks. I don't know how you ladies with little ones do it. I shuffled into midnight mass. When I'm at her house I try to pretend I'm fine because I don't want her to feel badly. Meanwhile her mother-in-law hasn't raised a pinky to help.

I had a great day yesterday with all the family here. Thank God my husband is so good. He did 90% of the cleaning so I could enjoy the day.

Being able to have my whole family here was my greatest gift.

What a blessing, this is what the holidays are about, family. Take care of yourself and treasure those children. Every child deserves a grandma like you.

I have a grandma like you...she's 95 years old!!! She stills lives alone and wouldn't have it any other way. She gets help with laundry, but cleans and cooks daily. Of course, she accepts "love" meals...and still wants to cook them for you!!!

She amazes me, as I'm sure you amaze your grandchildren. Granny's are the best it isn't about what they can or can't do, it's about the time and love they put into what they do.

Grandkids remember that...I promise. Congrats on your beautiful family. May you have many more blessed years to come.

Happy Holidays!

Oh, a baby.......what a wonderful, sweet, holiday present. Lucky you. As above, it is not how much a grandma can do or not do, it is that she is there. A lap to sit on if possible, a story read, a tear dried, a hug. That is what grandmas are all about. Your family is lucky to have you.
Congrats!

What a wonderful present. I had my great niece and nephew over for Christmas. She is 5 and he is almost 3 mos. I loved every minute of watching her unwrap her presents. I held him for as long as I could. He weighs almost 18 lbs. Like a butterball turkey. I could barely use my arm the next day. But a small price to pay to hold love in your arms.
