just a useful observation
Physicians vs. Gun Owners
Physicians The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000. Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000. Accidental deaths per physician are 0.171. (Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services)
Now think about this:
Gun Owners The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. The number of accidental gun deaths per year (all age groups) is1,500. The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.000188. Statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.
Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do" Fact: Not everyone has a gun, but almost everyone has at least one doctor.
Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!
Out of concern for the public at large, I have withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention.

Jay, That was great. I had to print it out. I work in a physicians office. I'm sure my co-workers will get a laugh from it. Pam

Jay, I was thinking about this, being a numbers person and all, and I was wondering, what are the stats for physicians who own guns? And what about the stats for the number of physicians killed by their AS patients after being told it's all in our heads

Using the success of the whac-a-doc idea as a guage of sorts I'd have to suggest that being a doc is not safe in spondyville lol

If there were no physicans we'd have to get our own medication. It is a MAJOR sentence to make drug deals with a loaded gun around....sorry to get serious on you all.

Well, (I know a deep hole) It is also a crime that we must seek drugs (though legalized) from a physician. When you have a condition, disease or illness that puts you at the mercy of another individual's knowledge or lack of it, it makes it seem like a drug deal even though it is formalized and legal especially when it is pain medication. When you have to wait on another to give you the drugs that you feel you can't live without... it begins to sound pretty iffy. Then add in the insurance companies... ah, I am depressing myself. Sorry guys. I will shut up! Just shoot me! Day~
