I got the idea to post this thread from the holiday traditions thread.

OK now everyone...post away.
I'll look in my recipes for something yummy.

I just posted one on the traditions thread. I'll regroup tommorrow and post it here. And find some more.

I need a good lo mein recipe. Jerry is on the US All Starch diet and lives for the stuff.

And fish-I've never baked fish in my life, but we need to start eating it.

Baking fish is really easy. Just get the fish from your market, put it on a large pan and bake @ 350 degrees about 5-7 minutes per pound. Better still broil it. Baste with a little butter and broil til you can flake the meat off with a fork.

I like to baste with dill butter. Easy to put together too. It's just melted butter and about 1/2 tsp dried dill.

Try www.foodtv.com for a lo mein recipe, or just google it. I've found some great ones that way.

I'm delinquent in posting a recipe too.

grilled cheese sandwich


mix butter and garlic and coat as normal
add sliced tomato, cheese, and ham
grill as usual


roast or steak

chop carrot, spuds, celery and onion
add a few tablespoons of butter
season as desired

camping:
wrap in tinfoil and toss in coals until done...usuallly about 1 1/2 hours

home:
cook in covered roasting pan at 350 until done


porkchops

butterfly thick cut boneless chops
fill with mozz. cheeze tomatoe and hot green peppers
close
cook as normal

open microwave insert popcorn bag wait impatiently for 2.5 minutes burn fingers and enjoy
