Hello, currently diagnosed Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder plus lumbar OA. Hip pain and past iritis have me looking at AS.

My rheum suggested turmeric which I think may actually be helping after several weeks. I have also tried CBD which seems to help more than OTC NSAIDs and is easier on my stomach. Anyone else try this? If so, what dosing strategy? What helps most with the 4am back/hip pain?

I was looking into turmeric and maybe cayenne pepper/capsaicin. I have been making a 'tea' with those two, plus ginger, honey, and lemon, there are different properties in all of them that help with inflammation, tummy issues, psoriasis and other skin issues, immune stuff, cancer cell growth, metabolism and weight, and all sorts of other stuff. It's all still being researched but there is enough info for a desperate person to give it a try, and it doesn't look like there have been any bad side effects. I don't know about dosage, that's what I came here looking for actually. Good luck!
